Board of Directors

The IIBA Hong Kong Chapter is governed by the Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for carrying out the purposes and objectives of the Chapter and respected members. All Directors are members in good standing with IIBA and the Chapter. Directors are elected by majority vote of chapter members in attendance at the Annual General Meeting.


PRESIDENT - Jeff Tan

Jeff relocated to Hong Kong from Singapore about six years ago and is currently working as a Management Consultant at Infosys Consulting. Jeff has experience working under various capacities, covering industries such as Banking, Insurance, Aviation and Telecommunications. Jeff is passionate about business analysis discipline and believes it helps drive business outcomes whilst ensuring that the organisation stays the course through macro and micro challenges. 

He understands the vision and goals of IIBA and recognises the immense values that business analysis professionals have contributed to the local business community. Jeff believes he can add value by a building a resilient and sustainable organisation to support all of IIBA’s operational requirements and to further its mission and objectives.


AYLWIN WAN - VP MEMBER SERVICES

Aylwin is a Certified Business Analysis ProfessionalTM (CBAP®) in a Hong Kong-based leading airlines. He has 6 years of business analysis experience, covering industries including aviation, government and manufacturing. Aylwin started his business analysis career working for a renowned Japanese document technology company in the role of “kaizen” to improve company business processes and operations.

In keeping with his passion for business analysis, Aylwin has been an active member of the IIBA for some time, and now joins the Hong Kong Chapter as the VP Member Services, hoping to contribute to the promotion of IIBA as well as BA practices in Hong Kong.

In his spare time, Aylwin works as a translator and is also a volunteer at the Hong Kong Tourism Board. He also enjoys music, sports and travelling.  


BILLY CHEUNG - VP MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

Billy is an experienced professional with consulting experience spanning across industries such as Education, Utilities, Government and Transport in both Hong Kong and Australia and Billy has a solid background in business analysis and has worked across all project phases, utilising a wide range of analysis methods such as user-stories, use cases and prototyping techniques.

Relocated back to Hong Kong 2 years ago, Billy is passionate about screen acting and theatre in his spare time.


ABHISHEK SHARMA - VP FINANCE AND ADMIN

With over 10 years of experience in Management Consulting, IT consulting and wearing multiple Business Strategy hats across all facets of the Insurance business in business processes and platform modernization. Abhishek has also managed multi-million dollar projects to delivery with multi-shore based team of up-to 25 resources. His cross domain expertise and excellent understanding of business processes has helped him managed projects and exceeded the expectations his clients. Abhishek is also experienced in Strategy Planning, Business Analysis, Test Management, Stakeholder Management, Process Re-Engineering, Performance Improvement, Project Management, Relationship Management, Impact Assessment and Dual-Shore Management.


CLARE WONG - VP PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

With over 12 years in Business (Systems) Analysis, Clare has experience working as business analyst in different industry sectors and IT projects for business process reengineering consultancy role throughout different regions. Moreover, being a scrum master in agile methodology for various mid-scale projects in most recent company, she has strong desire and passion to pursue into higher level in leadership role.

Apart from her work experience, the important goal for Clare is to utilise her skill sets in business analysis to share with other analysts servicing in different sectors or other communities. Clare joined the IIBA HK Chapter in May and has participated in several events and activities. She is looking forward to take the CBAP (BABOK v3) exam later this year.


KELVIN LAI - VP SPONSORSHIP

Kelvin is an experienced professional in Hong Kong working as a Business Consultant for a global technology provider that specializes in Wealth Management solutions with clients across APAC and EMEA. His 12 years of working experience spans across multiple business consultancy and technical roles across different industries including banks, telecommunications and geotechnical companies.

Outside of work, Kelvin enjoys spending time with his family, and playing all kinds of sports, in particular distance running and racket sports.


JESMER WONG - VP EVENTS

Jesmer is a Process Analyst in a third party logistics (3PL) company, delivering business process analysis and process re-engineering consulting proposals to various stakeholders, conducting training session for continuous improvement skills like Lean and Six Sigma. Understanding the importance of Business Analysis and the trend of Big Data, Jesmer has dived into the area of Data Science and applies these areas of knowledge to his consulting role. Prieviously, Jesmer worked in quality management for about 10 years in various industries including manufacturing, FMCG and IT.

Amongst his pastimes, Jesmer volunteers helping with Business Networking in Hong Kong. He is also a translator for various associations. He also enjoys reading language books and listering to music.


JOE CHUI - VP CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT

Joe is currently a Regional System Manager in Asia Pacific for a Fortune top-250 worldwide company, managing project delivery teams & system support in 7 countries. He has over 15 year-working experience in Regional IT Project Management, IT Consulting & IT Business Analysis for Luxury & MNC retail organization in the Asia Pacific region.

Joe is CBAP certified and is also a Master Trainer in Kornerstone for the CBAP Certification course and other BA courses. He has trained IT Project Directors, Project Managers, Business Analyst Managers, Business Analysts, System Analysts & Solution Architects in many different industries

Joe believes that the main cause of most IT project failure in many large companies is poor business analysis. He fully recognises the vision and goals of IIBA and is passionate about promoting awareness and the importance of business analysis best practices and IIBA CBAP certification, with an aim of assisting industry to improve the quality of business analysis and the success of their projects.


PAUL HOGWOOD - VP TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN

Paul is a Senior IT Consultant with considerable experience in Business Analysis, Project Management, Technical Management and Software and Systems Development with organisation and on projects around the world. He also undertook a design and development role in his web business in Australia for 6 years, developing graphic media and websites. He still enjoys technical hands-on development and currently creates and supports websites here in Hong Kong.

Beyond his love of all things computers, Paul is an avid photographer and also enjoys movies, puzzles, crosswords, trivia and chess.


SABEER MUHSIN - Non-Executive Director

Sabeer is a passionate, motivated professional Business Analyst utilising industry best practice (IIBA & BABOK) to increase business excellence. He has a great passion for Business Analysis and has been an active member of the IIBA since early 2010. Sabeer contributed to the establishment of the IIBA HK Chapter and has been an avid supporter since its inception.

Sabeer is currently working as a Business Analyst with a major transformation program at Hong Kong’s flagship airline. He is a strong champion for Business Analysis, also contributing to its BA Centre of Excellence to promote and uphold the BA practice.
